New Catena-X Due Diligence Check KIT for SMEs
This KIT marks a first step in providing SMEs with a practical framework to address digital due diligence checks in global supply chains.
Catena-X has taken a new step in the development of tools focused on compliance and sustainability with the launch of the Due Diligence Check KIT for SMEs. This KIT provides a common framework for carrying out due diligence checks in a more efficient, structured way, adapted to the reality of SMEs within the automotive supply chain.
The KIT is built around a model based on standardisation, interoperability and proportionality, with the aim of avoiding duplication and enabling a company to complete a check once and share it securely across the network. The approach also includes common risk registers by country and sector, as well as an assessment logic to help determine when questionnaires, audits or other additional measures are needed.
For the Catena-X ecosystem, this launch reinforces the idea that the digital transformation of the value chain must also support regulatory compliance and reduce unnecessary burdens for suppliers. Throughout the year, the KIT will continue to evolve with new content, tools and review processes together with experts and industry stakeholders.
