CX-Saturn marks the next major step after CX-Jupiter, consolidating a more mature Catena-X ecosystem with strengthened standards, a new operating model, and improved governance and sustainability for the automotive value chain.
Catena-X has launched CX-Saturn, a new release that represents the next major step after CX-Jupiter in the evolution of the automotive data space. This version bundles standards, specifications, governance rules, and technical components into a more coherent and enhanced package, ensuring that all participants work on a common, stable, and even more future-proof foundation.
- New and updated standards for the exchange of requirements, tariffs, policy constraints, quality, and circularity
- Bring Your Own Wallet (BYOW) support, now fully implemented in the backend, including validation, credential management, and DID logic
- An enhanced operating model that incorporates TISAX requirements and new roles within the ecosystem
- Updated PCF Rulebook v4.0 and PCF Verification and Certification Framework v2.0, including calculation rules for Prospective PCF and alignment with other initiatives
- A new contracting chapter and refreshed data exchange governance, strengthening the ecosystem’s legal and governance frameworks
With this release, Catena-X reinforces its role as the reference ecosystem for secure and standardised data exchange across the automotive value chain and sets the stage for upcoming improvements, such as the future CX-Titan release.
