We are back at the 5th Tractus-X Community Days

The Tractus-X Community Days in Stuttgart sent a clear message: a multi-sector, open and trustworthy dataspace ecosystem is taking shape beyond automotive, with Tractus-X as a catalyst and a growing, increasingly international community.

The latest edition of the Tractus-X Community Days in Stuttgart confirmed that a multi-sector dataspace ecosystem is emerging, driven by open collaboration and a shared commitment to building trustworthy digital infrastructures across industries.

Originally conceived as the technological backbone of Catena-X in the automotive domain, Tractus-X has now reached an architectural maturity that makes it relevant far beyond its original scope. The combination of Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC)-based connectors, policy enforcement modules, semantic models and traceability components aligns naturally with any sector where security, data sovereignty and interoperability are essential. As highlighted by Javier Valiño (Eclipse Foundation), this is no longer just a technical evolution: the community is shaping a horizontal fabric where different industries can share patterns, tools and governance models to accelerate the creation of sector-specific dataspaces.

During the event, the joint presentation by Oscar Lázaro (Innovalia Association) and David Görzig (ARENA2036) also stood out. They described the collaboration between the Catena-X Competence Center in Spain and the ARENA2036 innovation center in Germany, as well as upcoming milestones (FORO BAIDATA 2026, 6th Tractus-X Community Days):

    • Connecting the infrastructures of the Catena-X Competence Center and ARENA2036, as well as their respective communities.
    • Facilitating joint access to the use and operation of cutting-edge individual test environments for dataspaces.
    • Synchronising contributions to the Eclipse Tractus-X project by setting up jointly managed development teams.
    • Aligning with and reinforcing support to the Catena-X Network in the promotion of Tractus-X.

The momentum of the community, the robustness of the technical stack and the growing diversity of contributors confirm that Tractus-X is becoming a catalyst for cross-sector innovation.
