BIEMH 2026 confirms that Industry 4.0 is already setting the course
BIEMH closes in Bilbao with a strongly international presence, where automation, robotics and digitalization stand out as key pillars, connecting with the mission of the Competence Center of Catena-X in Spain
Last week, from March 2 to 6, 2026, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre hosted the 33rd edition of BIEMH, consolidating its position as one of Europe’s leading showcases for advanced manufacturing. The event brought together 1,543 exhibiting companies from 34 countries, showcased more than 3,350 products, and welcomed over 39,000 professionals from nearly 65 countries, confirming the fair’s international reach and its ability to generate business, innovation, and industrial collaboration.

Beyond the numbers, BIEMH 2026 delivered a clear message: industrial competitiveness increasingly depends on companies’ ability to combine machinery, automation, software, connectivity, and data. It is no coincidence that the organizers highlighted automation, robotics, and digitalization as strategic domains to move toward more efficient, flexible, and connected production models.

At the Catena-X Spain Competence Center, we work precisely to help the automotive sector address challenges such as regulatory compliance, supply chain resilience, sustainability, and value creation through data-driven processes. The initiative promotes a secure, neutral, and open ecosystem that enables companies to access trusted digital solutions within Catena-X.
In sectors such as automotive and industrial manufacturing, transformation is no longer only about digitizing internal processes. Increasingly, it requires companies to interact more effectively with customers, suppliers, and technology partners, enabling more transparent, interoperable, and resilient value chains.
