Catena-X Titan release now available in the Standards library
The new Catena-X release expands the ecosystem with 5 new standards, 14 updates, and enhanced capabilities across multiple fields
Catena-X has officially announced the availability of the Titan Release, the minor release following CX-Saturn, now published in the Catena-X Standards Library. This new release continues the evolution of the Catena-X ecosystem by refining existing specifications and introducing new capabilities for data exchange and interoperability across the automotive value chain.
Overall, the Titan Release introduces 5 new standards, updates 14 existing standards, and deprecates 8 standards. Among the main highlights is the introduction of the new Car SBOM standard (CX-0158), designed to enable the exchange of Software Bills of Materials across the automotive value chain and improve transparency around software components.
The release also brings progress in network services, with updates to onboarding, identity management, and connectivity, alongside the new Identity Proofing standard, which lays the foundation for future methods of verifying company identity during onboarding.
In Supply Chain & Quality, Catena-X introduces the Geometry standard (CX-0156) to support interoperable exchange of 2D and 3D data such as CAD models, meshes, and point clouds.
In Sustainability, the new Material Accounting standard (CX-0159) enables standardized and verifiable tracking of secondary material flows, helping close the data gap between end-of-life vehicle processes and the production of new materials and components.
In addition, the Titan Release integrates Eclipse Tractus-X releases 25.12 and 26.03, bringing further improvements to connectors, SDKs, and identity services, which acknowledges the contribution of the Eclipse Tractus-X open-source community.
