SQS appointed as Catena-X Conformity Assessment Body
SQS has been recognised as a Conformity Assessment Body in Catena-X, fostering trust, interoperability and data sovereignty in the automotive industry
Trust is one of the key pillars enabling data ecosystems to scale in a secure, interoperable and sovereign way within the automotive industry.
In this context, SQS, through its specialised capabilities in quality, verification, validation, cybersecurity and data spaces, has been recognised as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for Catena-X. This represents a relevant milestone for the development of the ecosystem and for driving the digital transformation of the automotive value chain.
Catena-X is the first open and collaborative data ecosystem specifically designed for the global automotive sector. Its aim is to enable standardised, secure and sovereign data exchange between the different actors in the value chain, facilitating key use cases such as traceability, sustainability, supply chain resilience and regulatory compliance.
The role of Conformity Assessment Bodies is essential to ensure that participating organisations, solutions and services comply with the requirements defined by Catena-X in areas such as interoperability, information security, data sovereignty and standards compliance.
From its role as a CAB, SQS contributes to strengthening trust within the Catena-X ecosystem, supporting companies in independent assessment processes related to the interoperability of their digital systems and the verification of information security requirements, including standards such as ISO 27001 and TISAX.
From the Competence Centre, we welcome this development as a sign of the strengthening of the national ecosystem. From now on, companies developing solutions will be able to rely on specialised support not only for the development and validation of their solutions, but also during the certification phase prior to entry into Cofinity-X
