Present at the 2nd Gaia-X Data Economy Summit Spain
A key meeting point to drive data spaces, data sovereignty, and new models of digital collaboration in industry.
The Catena-X Competence Centre in Spain will take part in the 2nd Gaia-X Data Economy Summit Spain, which will be held on 21 and 22 April 2026 at the Toledo Congress Palace. The event stands out as one of the main meeting points in Spain for advancing the real deployment of data spaces, connecting strategy, technology, and business around a more collaborative, interoperable, and sovereign data economy.
The summit will address some of the major themes currently shaping the evolution of the data economy in Europe: operational data spaces, governance, interoperability, standards, data-based business models, and their application in strategic sectors such as industry, mobility, healthcare, and smart cities. It will also highlight the connection between these initiatives and key technologies such as artificial intelligence and the digital infrastructures that make an operational and scalable data economy possible.
The Catena-X Competence Centre will be represented by its Director, Silvia Rodríguez, whose presence reinforces the Centre’s role as a national reference point for supporting companies, technology providers, and industrial stakeholders in the adoption and development of Catena-X digital solutions. Silvia will take part in the roundtable discussion “Catena-X, the major data space for the automotive industry” together with Arancha García (ANFAC) and Javier Lisarte (T-Systems), moderated by Manu Achucarro (IDTA).
For the Catena-X Competence Center, participating in this kind of event means continuing to strengthen dialogue with the national and international ecosystem that is building the next generation of connected value chains. In a context where industry needs to share information securely, reliably, and under common rules, data spaces are becoming a strategic infrastructure for improving competitiveness, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening business resilience. This vision is fully aligned with the Center’s mission: To facilitate companies’ access to a trusted digital offering and help them integrate effectively into the Catena-X ecosystem.
